Reason Fine Dining - Architecture
Located on the top floor of the iconic Masaryčka building by Zaha Hadid Architects, in the heart of Prague, Reason was envisioned as a fine dining restaurant where material purity, architectural discipline, and functional clarity coexist in perfect harmony. The bar area unfolds in two distinct zones: one dedicated to drinks, clad in triangular tiles and framed by a suspended metal wine rack, and another serving as a kitchen pass, finished in marble and crowned by an organic metal structure floating above. A mirrored “hat” lined with the same triangular geometry as the façade reinforces a sense of visual continuity and balance.
The lighting elements, designed to resemble flocks of birds in flight, evoke the feeling of being perched high above the city — as if dining within the branches of an imaginary tree overlooking Prague. Minimal furniture, neutral textures, and soft geometries complete an atmosphere of calm sophistication. For Zisis Papamichos Architects & Partners (Zitateam Architects), Reason is not merely a restaurant — it is a spatial narrative where design itself becomes the reason.
