REASON: A new rooftop restaurant changing the rules of gastronomy

Chef Jan Horák is opening REASON on the roof of Prague's Masaryčka building – a place that combines top-class cuisine, design, and a unique atmosphere.

Gastronomy without borders

REASON is not a classic restaurant. The menu will constantly change according to the season and the team's inspiration. You can look forward to tasting experiences and the option to choose individual courses. The connecting element is creative work with flavours, textures, and ingredients that come mainly from Czech Republic and Europe, with an emphasis on seasonality and a sustainable approach.

Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available when ordered in advance, and the tasting menu is also available in a lighter version.

Atmosphere with a view

Design, atmosphere, and experience. The Masaryčka rooftop terrace offers REASON unique views and atmosphere – the restaurant enjoys a panorama of Prague, which becomes part of the gastronomic experience. The design of the space is elegant and thoughtful, yet relaxed and open – guests should feel like they are in a peaceful oasis above the city, without losing touch with the hustle and bustle below.

REASON combines daytime and evening operations, with the atmosphere changing according to the time of day – from a quiet morning, through lunch, to evening relaxation with cocktails and selected tasting menus. Music, lighting, and other details help to make every moment at REASON part of a thoughtful experience.

You can stop by for a business lunch from Tuesday to Friday between 12 noon and 3 p.m., while dinner from the tasting menu and à la carte is served from Tuesday to Saturday from 6 p.m.

Where can you find this new restaurant? 

The entrance is located on the right side of the main facade of Masaryčka, between iStyle and Sakura. The restaurant staff will be waiting for you at the reception desk and will take you above the clouds.
